Questo Lp ripropone l’album “Interplay” (Riverside RLP9445) di Bill Evans in cui il pianista è affiancato dal trombettista Freddie Hubbard, dal chitarrista Jim Hall, dal contrabbassista Percy Heath e dal batterista Philly Joe Jones. Evans e Hubbard avevano già suonato insieme sull’album di Oliver Nelson “The Blues and the Abstract Truth” e su “Pop + Jazz = Swing” di Benny Golson. “Interplay” ha segnato la loro terza e ultima collaborazione.
