Questo doppio cd propone le sessioni complete (incluse tutte le alternate take note) che hanno prodotto l'album di Bille Evans “Interplay” (Riverside RLP9445). Queste registrazioni vedono il pianista affiancato dal trombettista Freddie Hubbard, dal sassofonista Zoot Sims, dai contrabbassisti Percy Heath e ron Carter, e dal batterista Philly Joe Jones Come bonus sono state aggiunte due sessioni complete che vedono Evans accompagnato da altri grandi solisti: Jimmy Knepper e Gene Quill in una sessione (originariamente pubblicata sull’album di Knepper “A Swinging Introduction”) e Sahib Shihab, Phil Woods e Benny Golson sull’altra (originariamente pubblicata sull’album “Jazz Shihab”).
