Questo Cd raccoglie le differenti tecniche vocali e strumentali della musica da ballo, che costituisce la principale forma espressiva della regione della “Murgia dei Trulli”, un’area culturalmente omogenea. Fra la musica da danza più importante dobbiamo ricordare la “tarantella” altrimenti nota come “pizzica pizzica”, suonata sia come musica da ballo che con funzioni terapeutiche contro il morso della “tarantola”, un ragno molto velenoso. Molto diffusa era anche la tarantella “danza del coltello”.
