Il repertorio corale si arricchisce con questo disco di nuove gemme aventi tutte come minimo comune denominatore il testo Ave Maris Stella. In una sorta di grande variazione sul tema, i compositori di oggi si riallacciano idealmente ad opere sul medesimo testo derivanti dalla tradizione medievale dei Codex Cambrai, Las Huelgas e Montepellier, mostrando come un passato a volte percepito erroneamente come remoto, può essere ancora oggi efficacemente utilizzato ed in alcuni casi ripensato per una liturgia contemporanea.
