Il sassofonista Charlie Parker (1920-1955) è stato tra i più influenti artisti jazz di sempre e uno dei pochi geni indiscussi del suo tempo. Questo LP presenta una selezione di brani tratti dalle sessioni di registrazione che ha realizzato in quintetto con Miles Davis alla tromba. Sono inclusi alcuni dei brani più noti di Bird come “Billie’s Bounce”, “Now’s the Time”, “Scrapple from the Apple” e “Donna Lee”. Questa edizione curata dall’etichetta Jazz images è impreziosita dalle foto di William Gottlieb.
