“Now’s the Time” si compone di due delle rare esibizioni del quartetto di Charlie Parker (che di solito registrava in quintetto). Entrambe sono sessioni spettacolari, ricche di intricate composizioni originali di Bird, integrate da due bellissime letture degli standard “The Song Is You” e “Remember You”. Come bonus sono stati aggiunti un quartetto del 1950 (tranne che per una traccia in cui Bird è affiancato dal grande Coleman Hawkins) e un quintetto del 1951 con Red Rodney alla tromba.
