“Puppet on a Chain” è un film del 1971, capolavoro di Suspence e azione, adattato dal romanzo di Alistair Maclean del 1969. E’ diretto da Geoffrey Reeve, interpretato da Sven-Bertil Taube e ambientato lungo i canali di Amsterdam. L’azione è sostenuta dalla colonna sonora “Made in Italy” del maestro Piero Piccioni, che descrive perfettamente la decadenza che attraversava Amsterdam in quegli anni, tra droghe e criminalità. Piccioni vanta collaborazioni con i più grandi del cinema italiano tra cui Francesco Rosi, Mario Monicelli, Alberto Lattuada, Luchino Visconti, Bernardo Bertolucci, Roberto Rossellini, Vittorio De Sica e Lina Wertmuller.
