Il leggendario trio di Oscar Peterson, con Ray Brown al contrabbasso e Ed Thigpen alla batteria, ha registrato quasi dieci ore di musica nel celebre club London House di Chicago tra il 11 Luglio e il 6 Agosto 1961. L’album “Live from Chicago” (Verve V6-8420) è stato il primo di quattro LP tratti da quelle sessioni. Il repertorio del trio mette in luce la straordinaria versatilità del gruppo, spaziando da melodie tradizionali agli standard classici.
