Questo doppio cd riunisce tre album del grande Dexter Gordon registrati nel biennio 1961-62: “Doin’ Allright” (Blue Note BST84077), “Dexter Calling” (Blue Note BST84083) e “Landslide” (Blue Note LT-1051). Tra i sideman presenti in questi dischi ci sono stelle del jazz come Freddie Hubbard, Horace Parlan, Kenny Drew, Sonny Clark, Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, e Philly Joe Jones. Come bonus sono stati aggiunti tutti i brani esistenti delle stesse sessioni di registrazione più un brano del 1962 in cui Gordon è affiancato dal collega sassofonista Sonny Stitt.
