Questo cd riunisce due album consecutivi realizzati dal pianista Ahmad Jamal per l’etichetta Argo: “Happy Moods” (Argo LPS-662) e “Listen To The Ahmad Jamal Quintet” (Argo LPS-673). Entrambi gli album vedono all’opera lo storico trio di Ahmad Jamal con Israel Crosby al contrabbasso e Vernell Fournier alla batteria. Nel secondo album al trio si uniscono anche il violinista Joe Kennedy e il chitarrista Ray Crawford.
