Questo cd presenta l’album del leggendario pianista Oscar Peterson “Nostalgic Memories” (Clef Records MGC-695), presentato qui nella sua interezza per la prima volta su CD. Come era comune durante i primi anni Cinquanta, l’album non è composta da una singola sessione ma da selezione di brani tratti da varie sessioni con musicisti diversi, che vanno dal 1951 al 1954. Ray Brown è presente su tutti i brani insieme ai chitarristi Barney Kessel, Irving Ashby e Herb Ellis. Dodici canzoni dalle stesse sessioni sono state aggiunte come bonus.
