Sixth Sense is the first CD of this new, amazing pianoless group. The quartet assembled by Roberto Gatto is one of the most peculiar and interesting on the scene. The melody is performed by two brass players, the trumpet of the young and acclaimed Avishai Cohen (Rising Star 2012 according to the Downbeat Critics Pool and already appreciated worldwide) and the tenor sax and clarinet of Francesco Bearzatti, a great representative of Italian music in the world (named best European musician in 2011 by the Académie du Jazz). To support the drummer leader and accompany him in the rhythm section, Doug Weiss, one the most representative double bass players from the New York scene. Four personalities who have put their cultural background in the service of music with great participation and energy, but above all with originality.

At the beginning of nineteen-eighties my great friend and "trombettista extraordinaire" Franco Ambrosetti called me to take part with his quartet in a television programme for Swiss Television. This would be the first time that I performed for television: I was just over eighteen and I was very excited. The transmission was to be conducted by Roberto Livraghi, composer of some of the most beautiful "evergreens" from Italian music and not only. In the show he was a piano player, a singer and a very charming and helpful host: he immediately put me at my ease and the music carne along smoothly. I have a lovely memory of that evening so that when, a little while ago, I received a telephone cali from Franco proposing to record with him some of Roberto's beautiful songs in a jazz style I accepted very enthusiastically. Roberto belongs to a generation of musicians that not oniy never lost their attitude to be fascinated by jazz and the most beautiful Brazilian music but continue to be attracted to it

A new project by Gabriele Mirabassi following his Brazilian research.       Italian rock band 7grani has dedicated a song in remembrance of the Nanjing Massacre to raise awareness among young generations about genocides in history.

"We were very affected by this extermination of thousands and thousands of Chinese people, which continues to remain largely forgotten," said Fabrizio Settegrani, the lead singer of the band, in an interview with Xinhua.
