Sixth Sense is the first CD of this new, amazing pianoless group. The quartet assembled by Roberto Gatto is one of the most peculiar and interesting on the scene. The melody is performed by two brass players, the trumpet of the young and acclaimed Avishai Cohen (Rising Star 2012 according to the Downbeat Critics Pool and already appreciated worldwide) and the tenor sax and clarinet of Francesco Bearzatti, a great representative of Italian music in the world (named best European musician in 2011 by the Académie du Jazz). To support the drummer leader and accompany him in the rhythm section, Doug Weiss, one the most representative double bass players from the New York scene. Four personalities who have put their cultural background in the service of music with great participation and energy, but above all with originality.

A sincere, philological and experimental thanksgiving to Frank Zappa. Not merely a tribute concert or live-concept. A monographic work, accurate in its theatrical and scenographic details, an entertaining opportunity for everybody to know and rediscover Zappa’s universe.
It’s impossible to sum up briefly the countless influences in Zappa’s music, just as so many are the musicians who adopted (sometimes unconsciously) something precious from him. Among these are Quintorigo.
Critics had already found in Quintorigo’s music an evident Zappianic code almost as a priori and obsessive forma mentis. The show is also an emotional and instinctive performance, an exquisite and tasty selection from Zappa’s works which will lead us to gorge on his discography, stodgy dishes included.

The pianist and composer Luciana Bigazzi and the guitarist and composer Maurizio Colonna present a musical world of nuance and suggestion, where the piano and the guitar intertwine, refining and balancing each other’s musical interpretation.       Italian rock band 7grani has dedicated a song in remembrance of the Nanjing Massacre to raise awareness among young generations about genocides in history.

"We were very affected by this extermination of thousands and thousands of Chinese people, which continues to remain largely forgotten," said Fabrizio Settegrani, the lead singer of the band, in an interview with Xinhua.
